My artwork is a tactile journey of discovery, where layers of meaning and texture are revealed through a deliberate process of mark- making and surface explorations. As a Hamilton-based artist and educator, I aim to bring a unique perspective to the intersection of nature and urban environments, distilling the essence of these spaces into intricate patterns and forms.

Through a combination of scraping, uncovering and revealing, my mixed media pieces expose the hidden narrative of their materials, whether it's the weathered grain of wood or the layered history of urban landscapes. Geometric lines and forms emerge echoing the structures and patterns found in both natural and built environments.

With a background in Art and Art History from McMaster University and a B. of Education from Queen's University, my work reflects a deep understanding of art's power to reveal the extraordinary in the everyday. My hope is to invite the viewer to slow down and appreciate the intricate web of textures, colours and stories that comprise our world, and to find their own place within the ever-evolving landscape of art and life.
